HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Be thankful for your limitations for they give you opportunities for
improvement-
2-Be thankful for your mistakes for they will teach you-
3-Gratitude always builds deeper relationships between you and other people
and between you and God-
4-True thanksgiving is not just being thankful when you get what you want,
it is being thankful for what you already have-
5-There are no crown wearers in heaven who were not cross bearers here on
earth-
STRANGE THOUGHTS-One nice thing about egotists-they don't talk about other
people-
I'VE LEARNED-All suffering is not caused by being a Christian-
DID YOU KNOW-In1898 (fourteen years prior to the Titanic tragedy), Morgan
Robertson wrote a novel called Futility. The plot of the novel turned on the
largest ship ever built hitting an iceberg in the Atlantic Ocean on a cold April
night-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was the name Peter a common name before Jesus changed his name to
Simon?
2-Did Jesus found his church on Peter , the person, or on Peter's
profession of who Jesus was?
3-When did Jesus' begin?
4-Is the church a partner in the spreading of the gospel of Jesus or the
main avenue of attracting people to Jesus?
5-Why is it hard to transmit a simple message?
BIBLE TRIVIA-When Jesus healed a man who was both blind and dumb, what
demon did the Pharisees accuse him of consorting with?
Answer for today Beelzebub Matthew 12:24
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY-
When the Pharisees heard
this, they said, “Jesus uses the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons, to
force demons out of people.”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, we identify with the Israelites
who surely had concerns and fears regarding their future as they journeyed into
uncharted territory. We are comfortable with the familiar and can easily worry
about the unknown. But we find peace and refuge in You, our eternal God, when we
experience the unfamiliar as we learn to trust You for all that concerns us. It
is in Your everlasting arms that we find a place of reassurance. Your arms never
grow weary nor do they turn us away as we come to You for strength, support, and
rest. Amen.
