Friday April 3, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God does not demand that our judgement be perfect in all situations.  He simply asks us to trust him.
2-Prayer is not an alternative to preparation, and faith is not a substitute for hard work-
3-Beware of getting your own way because eventually you may get it, along with all its painful consequences-
4-We must not confuse God's patience with us with his approval of or indifference to our sin-
5-"Choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"_

STRANGE THOUGHT-Don't make me put my hands on my hips-

I'VE LEARNED-One of the keys to happiness is a good memory-

DID YOU KNOW-A fingerprint is also know as a dactylogram-

5 THINGS I WANT TO  KNOW
1-How does a Christian know if they are "living by grace"?
2-What does it mean "to have freedom in Christ"?
3-How often in scripture is the Holy Spirit received by the placing of hands on the believer?
4-Were the apostles the only ones who could place their hands on another for the Holy Spirit to be given to them or was this for all believers to do?
5-Isn't it interesting that the Gospel was willingly received in Samaria and not in Jerusalem?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the Murderers Bible?
Answer     An edition of 1801 which contained this misprint of Jude 16:"There are murderers', complainers, walking after their own lusts."  It should read "murmurers."

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Mark 14:1-2
It was now only two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The leading priests and teachers of the law were trying to find a trick to arrest Jesus and kill him. But they said, “We must not do it during the feast, because the people might cause a riot.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we’re abundantly grateful for our earthly dwellings where we find pleasure, companionship, comfort, rest and sustenance. If we’re not intentional, we will give more time and affection to our temporal home than our future eternal home. Perhaps it’s because we’re living in the here and now and the future seems so distant and unfamiliar. Help us not to fear the future nor foolishly think it will not come, but to embrace it so that we are prepared when that moment comes. May our heart’s yearning, our primary focus, and our physical labors also have heavenly goals each day as we seek to live for You daily.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
