HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Forgiveness has always been a part of God's loving nature-
2-Because God is faithful and his word is dependable, we can rejoice and
sing, giving thanks and praise-
3-Because the wicked have no fear of God, nothing restrains them from
sinning-
4-In your gratitude for God's love and mercy, don't forget his
justice-
5-Anger and worry reveal a lack of faith that God loves us and is in
control-
STRANGE THOUGHT-What did the buffalo say to his son when he left for
college--bison-
I'VE LEARNED-Having to live with the consequences of our choices teaches us
to think and choose more carefully-
DID YOU KNOW-The word lethologica describes the state of not
remembering the word you want to say-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why does faith come from hearing and not other ways as well?
2-Why does the Bible so often seem complex and unclear to those who read
it?
3-How do you know when the Bible is to be taken literally or some other
interpretation?
4-With all the various interpretations of scripture and various Christian
beliefs, how do you determine which is completely true, which have blind spots
but which are mostly true, which are marginally true and which are basically
false?
5-What sort of language and imagery is appropriate when talking about
God?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What is the proper name for Teacher?
Answer for today Rabboni or Rabbi John 1:38, 20:16
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Mark 14:66-72
66 While Peter was in the courtyard, a servant girl of the
high priest came there. 67 She saw Peter warming
himself at the fire and looked closely at him.
Then she said, “You also were with Jesus, that
man from Nazareth.”
68 But Peter said that he was never with Jesus. He said, “I don’t know or understand what you are talking about.” Then Peter left and went toward the entrance of the courtyard. And the rooster crowed.
69 The servant girl saw Peter there, and again she said to the people who were standing nearby, “This man is one of those who followed Jesus.” 70 Again Peter said that it was not true.
A short time later, some people were standing near Peter saying, “Surely you are one of those who followed Jesus, because you are from Galilee, too.”
71 Then Peter began to place a curse on himself and swear, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about!”
72 At once, the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered what Jesus had told him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will say three times that you don’t know me.” Then Peter lost control of himself and began to cry.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Omnipotent Father, Your immeasurable love and unending forgiveness are
characteristics that only a God like You can dispense, so much so, that even the
vilest offender who truly believes will be pardoned by You. Because of Your
tremendous example of love and forgiveness toward us, we can also extend our
love and forgiveness toward others. As recipients of Your goodness may we be
dispensers of Your blessings to those You bring into our lives. In Jesus’ name
we pray, Amen.
TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
