Wednesday July 22, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The most important trip you may make in life is meeting people halfway-
2-When I was young I admired clever people, now that I am old I admire kind people-
3-How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the
striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.  Someday in your life you will have been all three-
4-You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you-
5-Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I changed my I pad name to Titanic.  It is syncing now-

I'VE LEARNED-Those who say they follow God but don't live like it waste their God given talents-

DID YOU KNOW-"Cleveland" spelled backward is DNA level c-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Were there fruit trees in Eden?  If so what kind?
2-Why was the apple associated as the forbidden fruit?
3-Is Eve the female ancestor of all humanity?
4-If the Serpent was Satan, where did he come from?
5-How could the serpent be an evil thing in Eden when everything else was perfect?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "The sceptre shall not  depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come"?
Answer   Jacob     Genesis 49:10

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 7:28-30
28 I tell you, John is greater than any other person ever born, but even the least important person in the kingdom of God is greater than John.”
29 (When the people, including the tax collectors, heard this, they all agreed that God’s teaching was good, because they had been baptized by John. 30 But the Pharisees and experts on the law refused to accept God’s plan for themselves; they did not let John baptize them.)

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, as believers, we are put to the test daily regarding our adherence to the Scriptures that teach right from wrong, truth from error. Included are numerous examples of those who represent both camps. We have the golden opportunity to learn lessons from those who were obedient to Your laws and from those who chose to disregard them. Help us to remember that disobedience, disregard, or dilution of the Scriptures will weaken us and eventually harden our hearts to spiritual truths. We choose either to be shaped by the world or by the Word. Our will and desires cannot be shaped by both. We choose this day to be Your obedient servant no matter the consequences, for Your blessing is more to be desired than the applause of the world. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
