Friday January 13, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-God is love, but he also dispenses perfect justice-
2-While good deeds will not save us, our salvation must lead to righteous actions-
3-It is easy to say "I surrender all" to God when we don't have much.  It is when we start gaining some wealth that it becomes difficult to avoid wanting more-
4-God has a way of turning our treatment of others into a boomerang (we reap what we sow, what we give away comes back to us)-
5-Prayer is more effective than panic.  Panic confirms your hopelessness, prayer confirms your hope in God-

STRANGE THOUGHT
With 26 shapes arranged in various patterns, we can tell every story known to mankind as well as make new ones-

I'VE LEARNED
"If we say we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves and the truth is not in us"-

DID YOU KNOW
According to ceremonial customs of Orthodox Judaism, it is officially sundown when you cannot tell the difference between a black and a red thread-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What is real joy?
2-If God is a Spirit, how can he also be Father?
3-Why do we have trouble forgiving ourselves?
4-Why didn't Jesus speak clearer meaning to the public?
5-Have we complicated the process and act of being "saved"?

BIBLE TRIVIA
In what Bible book is this quotation found "Let the rivers clap their hands and let the mountains sing together for joy?"

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank you for revealing your love for me.  Show me how to show your love to others.  Teach me to express your love to them through my words and deeds-

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY-
