Saturday January 28, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-People can find an excuse for doing almost anything, but God looks beyond the excuses to the motives of the heart-
2-God is not pleased when we do good deeds only to receive something in return-
3-Offerings are not bribes to make God look over our character-
4-We can't exchange good behavior in one area for bad behavior in another-
5-It is usually better to learn from the mistakes of others than our own-

STRANGE THOUGHT
I totally agree with me-

I'VE LEARNED
Grace creates a resolve to do good, not permission to do bad (sin)-

DID YOU KNOW
Nearly 60 million people go to major league baseball games each year-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why do christian people possess so many material things?
2-Was Joseph (Mary's husband) a young man, an older man or a widower?
3-Did Joseph (Mary's husband) have any children from an earlier marriage?
4-Jesus had half brothers from Mary.  Did he have any half sisters?
5-To who does the Immaculate Conception apply to?

BIBLE TRIVIA
In what book of the Bible is this quotation found?
 "So shepherd your people with your stick;
Tend the flock of people who belong to you.
That flock now lives alone in the forest
In the middle of a garden land.
Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead
    As in days long ago."
Answer for today    Micah

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Ephesians 1:7-9  "In Christ we are set free by the blood of his death, and so we have forgiveness of sins. How rich is God’s grace, which he has given to us so fully and freely. God, with full wisdom and understanding, let us know his secret purpose. This was what God wanted, and he planned to do it through Christ. "

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, help me to walk daily in the forgiveness and redemption you purchased for me-

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BESSING, BE A FRIEND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE, TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND-
