THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1- What Jesus taught and what he did are tied inseparably to who he
is-
2-Although Jesus took upon himself full humanity and lived as a man, he
never ceased to be the eternal God who has always existed, the creator and
sustainer of all things and the source of eternal life-
3-To Jewish readers, "the Word was God" was blasphemous. To Greek readers
"the word became flesh" was unthinkable. To John, this new understanding of the
"word" was gospel, the good news of Jesus-
4-Life is ironic. It takes sadness to know happiness, noise to appreciate
silence, and absence to value presence-
5-If you try to live without God, you will be abandoning the purpose for
which you were made-
STRANGE THOUGHT
For a dog bite, put the dog away for several days. If it has not recovered
by then, put it to sleep-
I'VE LEARNED
By changing our own negative patterns, we can change a great many of the
circumstances we are in-
DID YOU KNOW
The original name for butterfly was the "flutterby"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Do Christians tend to pass off their sins as mistakes?
2-How and why is it more blessed to give than to receive?
3- Is it appropriate for the church to confess its sins of the
past?
4-What is the main stumbling block keeping people from becoming
Christians?
5-Christianity spread very rapidly in its early days yet today has only
minimal growth. Why is this so?
BIBLE TRIVIA
In Matthew 8, the maniac lives in Gadara. In Luke 8 and Mark 5, where does
he live? (for this question, check a modern translation, not the KJV)?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY

you. 8 Yes, everyone who asks will receive.
Everyone who searches will find. And everyone who knocks will have the door
opened.9 “If your children ask for bread, which of you would give
them a stone? 10 Or if your children ask for a fish, would
you give them a snake?
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
