Wednesday October 25, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Always be a little kinder than necessary-
2-Don't be yourself, be someone a little nicer-
3-Don't wait for people to be friendly, show them how-
4-Don't be a clever person, be a kind person-
5-Money doesn't change you, it magnifies who you are-

STRANGE THOUGHT
1-Did it ever occur to you that a tether ball is really just a cat toy for people?

I'VE LEARNED
We reap what we sow whether it is money, kindness, courtesy, attitude, anger, selfishness, etc.?

DID YOU KNOW
A group of goats is called a trip-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is hell a physical place?
2-Where is the soul between death and the final judgement or does the final judgement occur at death?
3-Are the flames of hell literal or figurative?
4-How can hell be a place of utter darkness and also a place of burning and flames?
5-What about hell being a place of worms eating peoples flesh.  Is this to be understood literally?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to 2 Samuel 6:23, David's wife Michal had no children.  But according to 2 Samuel 21:8 she had children.  How many?
Answer for today      Five  (this apparent scribal error is corrected in some translations, where Merab, not Michal, is the mother of five children)

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Hebrews 9:13-15   The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a cow are sprinkled on the people who are unclean, and this makes their bodies clean again. 14 How much more is done by the blood of Christ. He offered himself through the eternal Spirit as a perfect sacrifice to God. His blood will make our consciences pure from useless acts so we may serve the living God.15 For this reason Christ brings a new agreement from God to his people. Those who are called by God can now receive the blessings he has promised, blessings that will last forever. They can have those things because Christ died so that the people who lived under the first agreement could be set free from sin.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, Jesus is my savior through his sacrifice on the cross and I am grateful-

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
