Monday December 24, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-While nature points to the existence of God, the Bible tells us about salvation-
2-God's laws are guidelines and light for our path, rather than chains on our hands and feet
3-The reason people reject God has nothing to do with God's existence and everything to do with people's sinfulness.  In our desire to do wrong, we treat God as if he doesn't exist-
4-Nothing hurts more than a wound from a friend-
5-"Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all that God has done"-

 STRANGE THOUGHTS
If you think you are a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else's dog around-

I'VE LEARNED
Actions speak louder than words-

DID YOU KNOW
All the characters in The Flintstones had four fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What is the difference in judging and "fruit inspecting"?
2-Are Christians never to judge?
3-Do Christians sin when they are judging?
4-Were all the disciples preachers, teachers and evangelists?
5-Is it necessary to use words to preach the gospel?

BIBLE TRIVIA
In the parable of the sower, what unwanted plant  causes some of the seeds to die?
Answer for today         Thorns     Matthew 13:7

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
John 13:34-35     “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”         Message

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, I ask you to help me not to forget to pray for those who need your help in your life-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG,
ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY
