1-Often we suffer consequences for bad decisions and actions-
2-Never under estimate how vulnerable we are during times of suffering and pain-
3-Life is not given merely for happiness and personal fulfillment, but for us to serve and honor God-
4-It is wrong for us to assume that because God truly loves us he will always prevent suffering-
5-Satan's ploy is to get us to doubt God's love and faithfulness towards us-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why do we say blessed be the "name"of the Lord?
2-Are we today like the two men on the road to Emmaus in that we don't recognized when Jesus is with us?
3-Why do we so often not recognize when God is with us?
4-If God's Spirit is living within us, why aren't we more aware of it?
5-Is having a positive attitude a biblical concept?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Luke 4:6-8     For the second test he led him up and spread out all the kingdoms of the earth on display at once. Then the Devil said, “They’re yours in all their splendor to serve your pleasure. I'm in charge of them all and can turn them over to whomever I wish. Worship me and they’re yours, the whole works.” Jesus refused, again backing his refusal with Deuteronomy: “Worship the Lord your God and only the Lord your God. Serve him with absolute single-heartedness.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
