SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Galatians 3:26-29   You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This means that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 28 In Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek, slave and free person, male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus. 29 You belong to Christ, so you are Abraham’s descendants. You will inherit all of God’s blessings because of the promise God made to Abraham.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank you for enabling me to see the truth about Jesus and about my need for a savior-

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BESSING, BE A FRIEND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE, TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND-

Friday November 3, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-To understand a person's life, it is necessary to know not merely what they do but also what they don't do-
2-We are always complaining that our days are few and acting as though there is no end-
3-A bucket with a small hole in the bottom gets just as empty as a bucket that is deliberately kicked over-
4-A little bit of the future arrives each day-
5-We can be so distracted by good things that we leave the best things undone-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Ignorance picks up confidence as it goes along-

I'VE LEARNED
Materialism is holding our possessions tightly and grabbing for more-

DID YOU KNOW
A group of toads is called a knot-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When we get emotional in church, why do we say that God's Spirit was present?
2-Why don't Christians today eagerly anticipate the return of Jesus?
3-Do Christians live like they believe Jesus could come again anytime soon?
4-Do we sometimes go to God for the wrong reasons?
5-Why do miracles happen?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Name the person who said "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.  Lord, lay not this sin to their charge"?
Answer for today      Stephen  Acts 7:59-60

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Hebrews  6:10-12   God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed for him by helping his people. And he will remember that you are still helping them. 11 We want each of you to go on with the same hard work all your lives so you will surely get what you hope for. 12 We do not want you to become lazy. Be like those who through faith and patience will receive what God has promised.

Wednesday November 1, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-You only feel like you are lost because you believe that you are supposed to know where you are going-
2-Be some ones moon on a dark hopeless night-
3-Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going-
4-We master our seconds and minutes or we become slaves to them-
5-We use time or time uses us-

STRANGE THOUGHT
ESP is real.  I read about it in tomorrows newspaper-

I'VE LEARNED
There is a greater power in being generous than in hoarding your resources-

DID YOU KNOW
A group of rhinos is called a crash-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does Jesus respond to our prayers or our faith?
2-Why so often does our saddest sad come from what was once our most joyous joy?
3-Does God bless grudging obedience?
4-Will God answer our prayers if we live in disobedience?
5-Did Paul anticipate the immediate return of Jesus in his lifetime?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to 1 Corinthians 15:5, Jesus appeared to the twelve disciples after his resurrection.  According to  Matthew and Acts , how many apostles were there after his resurrection?    Answer for today  Only 11.  Matthew says that Judas hanged himself before Jesus' resurrection and Acts says that the new apostle Matthias, had not yet been chosen at the time of Jesus' resurrection-

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Acts 5:30-32   You killed Jesus by hanging him on a cross. But God, the God of our ancestors, raised Jesus up from the dead! 31 Jesus is the One whom God raised to be on his right side, as Leader and Savior. Through him, all people could change their hearts and lives and have their sins forgiven. 32 We saw all these things happen. The Holy Spirit, whom God has given to all who obey him, also proves these things are true.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank you for your saving grace, and empower me to testify effectively to others of your grace-

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
