Monday November 13, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Just because Christians are called to holiness doesn't mean we have to be naive, helpless and negligent-
2-Righteousness is not  a matter of following rules but of the heart.  It comes from faith in Jesus-
3-It is not our sinfulness that will obstruct our relationship with Jesus and sabotage our prayers but rather our pride and conceit-
4-God is consistent in all he does-
5-Money is a blessing, a danger, a stewardship, a test, and a tool-

STRANGE THOUGHT
For those who can't bend over and touch  your toes just wave at them-

I'VE LEARNED
The greatest joy in life comes most often from blessing others, not by seeking to be blessed ourselves-

DID YOU KNOW
Deer cannot eat hay-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are Christians narrow minded and intolerant of those different from them
2-Why is the church affected by our culture?
3-Do many christian display spiritual power in their lives?
4-Will the suffering that some Christians endure get greater or lesser as time nears an end?
5-Why does the church seem to be adapting the world's morality?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Name the person who said the following as their last words--So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.”
Answer for today     Jesus    Last verse in Matthew

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Matthew 6:3-4
So when you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know what you are doing. Your giving should be done in secret. Your Father can see what is done in secret, and he will reward you.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, free me from the trap of seeking praise of men-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG,ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
