Tuesday February 24, 2009 thought for the day

WAITING FOR SPRING
Here are my thoughts for today
1-When you surrender your will to God you discover the resources to do what God requires-
2-Honest differences are often a healthy sign of progress-
3-"A gently answer turns away wrath, but a harsh tongue stirs up anger.."-
4-"A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control"-
5-Our response to anger is a learned behavior-

Strange thought-What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

I've learned-If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything-

5 things I want to know
1-Will there be children in hell?
2-Will everyone in hell be subject to the same consequences?
3-Are there different degrees of suffering and punishment in hell?
4-Will there be the exact same justice for all who don't know and accept God's son Jesus?
5-Why did Jesus refer to God as "father"-was this a Hebrew culture thing?

Scripture for today Proverbs 15:25-33
25 The Lord will tear down the proud person's house, but he will protect the widow's property.
26 The Lord hates evil thoughts but is pleased with kind words.
27 Greedy people bring trouble to their families, but the person who can't be paid to do wrong will live.
28 Good people think before they answer, but the wicked simply pour out evil.
29 The Lord does not listen to the wicked, but he hears the prayers of those who do right.
30 Good news makes you feel better, your happiness will show in your eyes.
31 If you listen to correction to improve your life, you will live among the wise.
32-Those who refuse correction hate themselves, but those who accept correction gain understanding.
33 Respect for the Lord will teach you wisdom. If you want to be honored you must be humble.

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
