PRETTY SCENE
Here are my thoughts for today
1-Our culture defines us by what we do but scripture places"being" before "doing"-
2-Character is that which can do without success-
3-In today's culture "intolerance" seems to have been named the greatest sin-
4-"Do not let your hearts be troubled, believe in God, believe also in me."
5-Most of the intellectual "elite" of our society completely disavow the idea of absolute truth-
Strange thought-Why is it that rain drops and snow falls?
I've learned-Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, faith looks up!
5 things I want to know
1-Does surrender and submission mean the same in spiritual terms?
2-Why do we place so much importance on things that are so temporary?
3-How much like Jesus can we become?
4-Is there purpose to life outside of God?
5-What is it that God gives you to handle your testings?
Scripture for today Proverbs 18:7-12
7 The words of fools will ruin them, their own words will trap them.
8 The words of a gossip are like tasty bits of food. People like to gobble them up.
9 A person who doesn't work hard is just like someone who destroys things.
10 The Lord is like a strong tower, those who do right can run to him for safety.
11 Rich people trust their wealth to protect them. They think it is like the high walls of a city.
12 Proud people will be ruined, but the humble will be honored.
I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
