Saturday June 14, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-You don't need to please everyone in order to be happy-
2-No one can make you feel inferior unless you let them-
3-If you are still alive, God is not done with  you yet-
4-To avoid being pulled into error, keep a firm grip on the truth-
5-Delay is a great tool in controlling anger-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Those who do public speaking stand behind a lectern not a podium.  A podium is the platform or stage on which a speaker stands-

I'VE LEARNED-The impact of the result of sinning by Adam and Eve is still being felt in the world today-

DID YOU KNOW-Statistically, the safest age of life is ten years old-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How do the Old Testament instructions concerning keeping the Sabbath day holy apply to us today?
2-Who was the prophetess Huldah?
3-How can a holy God use a wicked nation to bring punishment against his own people, rebellious and sinful though they may be?
4-How can a Holy God permit wicked nations to succeed in their evil oppression?
5-How can a Holy God permit the wicked to prosper often at the expenses of the righteous?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was carried by angels to Abraham's bosom?
Answer for today-Lazarus   Luke 16:22

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Ephesians 2:4-5
But God’s mercy is great, and he loved us very much.Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, when we examine the emotional pain of our lives we often start out with the question of “Why?”  But in hindsight we realize that those struggles taught us practical truths that we would not have otherwise learned, and that there truly is purpose in our pain. We often look to Joseph, not because he was a great ruler over Egypt, but because we identify with much of his life’s experiences: betrayal, fear, rejection, his being lied about, separation, unjust treatment, delays, among other struggles. You accomplished Your purpose in His life, not in spite of his trials, but through his pain-filled ordeals. His story has been a source of encouragement to us time and again as he modeled integrity in the midst of the severe struggles and sweeping storms of life. Your eternal purpose is greater than our emotional pain. Remind us that it may not just be for our own instruction but others looking on may learn from our difficult experiences. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
