HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-Following Jesus costs more than anything-except for not following him-

2-A life watered by the tears of tragedy and suffering often becomes the most fertile soil for spiritual growth-

3-We should give God the same place in our hearts as he holds in the universe-

4-If you live close to God and his infinite grace, you don't have to tell, it shows on your face-

5-Love grows from giving-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Get someone else to blow your horn and the sound will travel twice as far-

I'VE LEARNED-You can find on the outside only what you possess on the inside-

DID YOU KNOW-Children in the Chinook Indian tribe were strapped between boards from head to toe so that they would have fashionably flat skulls-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Can you have faith without it being tested?

2-If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

3-Is there anytime when it is okay to love conditionally?

4-Did Adam and Eve eat any of the other Garden fruit beside the forbidden fruit?

5-How long did Adam and Eve live in the Garden of Eden?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What woman, once possessed by demons, was the first to see the risen Christ?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Galatians 5:13-15

¹³ My brothers and sisters, God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful self. Serve each other with love.¹⁴ The whole law is made complete in this one command: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself."¹⁵ If you go on hurting each other and tearing each other apart, be careful, or you will completely destroy each other.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, help me to be Your hand extended to those in need. We so often complain about our own needs but in reality much of our own needs are met as we reach out to others in need. Your Scripture declares, “Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” Help us not to put off that which You lay upon our hearts. May our gentle and loving touch be the finger of God reaching down from heaven to earth. We were created in Your image and we desire to portray Your loving character as well. Amen
