HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-No one is a failure when they can truly say "I have done my best"-
2-Life comes at you ready or not so it is best to be ready-
3-If you are a Christian, satan cannot force you to do anything, he can
only suggest you do it-
4-To profit from good advice requires more wisdom than to give it-
5-The Bible not only contains history, it also tells the future-
STRANGE THOUGHT-I am so old that when I was in school, history was called
current affairs-
I'VE LEARNED-If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same
place-
DID YOU KNOW-Golfing great Ben Hogan's famous reply when asked how to
improve one's game was, "Hit the ball closer to the hole."
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-When Samuel knew his two sons were dishonest and perverted justice, why
didn't he remove them from their positions?
2-Why does history seem to repeat itself?
3-How do you "go to God?"
4-What is the difference in biblical hope and trust?
5-What is hope and trust based on?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What former member of the Egyptian court killed an Egyptian
official?
Yesterday's answer-Jehu 2 Kings 9
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Matthew 25:22-23
22 "Then the servant who had been given two
bags of gold came to the master and said, 'Master, you gave me two bags of gold
to care for, so I used your two bags to earn two more.' 23 The master answered, 'You did well. You are
a good and loyal servant. Because you were loyal with small things, I will let
you care for much greater things. Come and share my joy with
me.'
PRAYER
FOR TODAY
Father,
nearly 3,000 years after Your judgment fell upon the Israelites during the fall
of Jerusalem, we continue to hear those who mock messengers sent from You, those
who despise the words of Scripture and those who scoff at biblical prophecy. So
much prophecy is filled with warnings for us so that we won’t end up destitute
and hopeless. Your Words are enlightenment to our heart, and encouragement to
our spirit as we appropriate the life-saving message of salvation through Christ
Jesus our Lord in whose name we pray. Amen.
