HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-Healthy obedience is out of love not fear-

2-Our love  for God is tested by our willingness to obey his commands, our willingness to live a life like Jesus and our willingness to love others as Jesus loved them-

3-Christians are not perfect but should be willing to make things right when there is a conflict-

4-When you have lots of "stuff" you are always afraid you will lose it-

5-One of life's greatest pleasures is helping others-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again-

 

I'VE LEARNED-Having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Only two countries have participated in every modern Olympic Games: Greece and Australia-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Why were parables meant not to be clear?

2-Is it possible for God to create in every person's heart a longing desire to be connected to Him?

3-Why isn't the message of God heard and understood by everyone?

4-Why did God make all people different in how they respond to him calling them?

5-Will every person have a call of God in their life?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Matthew  26:36-41

³⁶ Then Jesus went with his followers to a place called Gethsemane. He said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." ³⁷ He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with him, and he began to be very sad and troubled. ³⁸ He said to them, "My heart is full of sorrow, to the point of death. Stay here and watch with me."

 ³⁹ After walking a little farther away from them, Jesus fell to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, do not give me this cup^[a] of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want." ⁴⁰ Then Jesus went back to his followers and found them asleep. He said to Peter, "You men could not stay awake with me for one hour? ⁴¹ Stay awake and pray for strength against temptation. The spirit wants to do what is right, but the body is weak."

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, Your Word tells us to do everything without complaining and arguing so that we may become blameless and pure in a crooked and depraved generation. Instead of spreading negativity from our words and actions we are to shine like stars in the universe so that the divine light of Christ may be evident in the way we interact with our peers. Would You raise us above the fray of life as we determine to have an attitude of gratefulness and praise to Him who doeth all things well!  Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
