HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The Bible is a revelation of God's way with mankind, his guide for
leading a life in keeping with his will and the way to salvation-
2-No man is a failure who has friends or is loved by his family-
3-You have two choices in life, you can pray or panic, worship or
worry-
4-If you prayed as much as you worry you would have a lot less to worry
about-
5-The Savior came not only to comfort the afflicted, but to also afflict
the comfortable-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A thief who stole a calendar got 12 months-
I'VE LEARNED-A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks-
DID YOU KNOW-A device invented as a primitive steam engine by the Greek
engineer Hero, about the time of Christ, is used today as a rotating lawn
sprinkler-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why would God "make me to lie down in green pastures"?
2-What does it mean to "dwell in the house of the Lord"?
3-Does God provide comfort for us in all things?
4-Does "I shall not want" apply to all things?
5-Can we as Christians get to the point where "even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..."?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What prophet did the Lord tell about two prostitutes named
Oholah and Oholibah?
Yesterday's answer-John the Baptist Matthew 21:32
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY John 1:10-13
10 The Word was in the world, and the world was
made by him, but the world did not know him.11 He came to the world that was his own, but
his own people did not accept him.12 But to all who did accept him and believe in
him he gave the right to become children of God.13They
did not become his children in any human way—by any human parents or human
desire. They were born of God.
PRAYER
FOR TODAY
Father,
we who once were outcasts from Your kingdom have entered through the door via
the cross. Though we were unworthy like a beggar in bondage and alone; You made
us worthy and now by Your grace, Your mercy has made us Your own. We will spend
all of eternity thanking and praising You for Your infinite mercy and the
undeserved favor we receive as Your redeemed children. We thank You for Christ
who made it possible and it is in His name that we pray.
Amen.
