HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Today is the sure preparation for tomorrow and all the other tomorrows
that follow-
2-Today is a most unusual day because we have never lived it before and
will never live it again-
3-It is I, not events, that have the power to make me happy or unhappy
today and I can choose which it will be-
4-Yesterday is gone and tomorrow hasn't arrived yet so I have just one
day---today-
5-Never let yesterday use up too much of today-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The batteries were given out free of charge-
I'VE LEARNED-Something has to be the first thing on your list-
DID YOU KNOW-The first atomic bomb exploded at Trinity Site, New
Mexico-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How should we come before God--boldly, fearfully, timidly,
humbly,confidently,unworthy, etc?
2-Do we "fall into sin" or chose to sin?
3-What qualified Jesus to be a high priest?
4-Did Jesus really have a choice about his destiny?
5-Do you learn obedience from suffering?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who went on a killing spree when their sister Dinah was
treated like a prostitute?
Yesterday's answer-Hosea chapters 1-3
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY John 1:24-28
24 Some Pharisees who had been sent asked
John:25 "If you are not the Christ or Elijah or the
Prophet, why do you baptize people?"
26 John answered, "I baptize with water, but
there is one here with you that you don't know about.27 He is the One who comes after me. I am not
good enough to untie the strings of his sandals."
28 This all happened at Bethany on the other
side of the Jordan River, where John was baptizing people.
PRAYER
FOR TODAY
Father,
it is because of Your wise and loving character that You teach us about the
wiles of our adversary, the devil, and his cunning ways. We are not caught
unaware but recognize his strategy as we regularly read Your Word and store it
up in our hearts. Your precepts are right and because of that we hate every
wrong path. Direct our footsteps according to Your Word so that we stay in pace
with You, observing the yellow lights of caution, stopping at the red lights of
danger, and staying within the confines of Your guardrails. As we do so we will
not allow sin to dominate our lives or lead us astray. We pray for Your guidance
in Jesus’ name. Amen.
