spirit-

DID YOU KNOW-The antlers of a male moose can have as many as thirty tines,
or spikes-

3-Who baptized the 3000 new believers?
4-Why were so many in Jesus' day not impressed by the miracles he
did?
5-Why were the Sanhedrin so afraid of Jesus and his followers?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Acts 5:39-42
The leaders agreed with what
Gamaliel said. 40 They called the apostles in, beat them, and told them
not to speak in the name of Jesus again. Then they let them go free.
41 The apostles left the meeting full of joy because they
were given the honor of suffering disgrace for Jesus. 42 Every day in
the Temple and in people’s homes they continued teaching the people and telling
the Good News—that Jesus is the Christ.
PRAYER FOR
TODAY
Father, it is in Your name that we, as a nation, put
our hope. In Your name we cast down all that pertains to evil as we also raise
up a standard that goes before us in our battle against the powers of darkness.
We lift our hearts to You, gracious Father, seeking forgiveness and favor. As
You view our troubled, sin-ridden nation we ask once again for mercy, for a
visitation of Your Holy Spirit to overshadow, convict and heal our land. Revive
us again in devotion to You. Do not give us over to our sins, as we deserve, but
give us, instead, over to passionate prayer and a heart of repentance and an
obedient spirit that moves Your heart. “May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O
Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” In the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ we pray”. Amen
