Thursday June 6, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The gospel of Jesus is not a set of rules to outwardly follow, but a change within that leads to a difference in behavior-
2-"Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you"-
3-Jesus, the one worthy of being served, served others-
4-The burden of bridge building falls on the strong one, not the weak one-
5-Relationships don't thrive because the guilty are punished but because the innocent are merciful-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I don't have a problem keeping secrets, it's the people I tell-

I'VE LEARNED-Even if you believe it to be so, black is not white and wrong is not right-

DID YOU KNOW-The only female animal that has antlers is the caribou-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should a Christian be intolerant?
2-What is the most basic of all Jewish beliefs?
3-What is the most basic of all Christian beliefs?
4-Why did it take such an unusual experience on the road to Damascus for Paul to become a follower of Jesus?
5-During Paul's conversion experience, did his traveling companions see the light and hear the voice also?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king reversed the reform policies of Jehoiada the priest immediately after Jehoiada died?
Yesterday's answer-Seraiah  2 Kings 25:18

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Acts 6:12-15
12 This upset the people, the elders, and the teachers of the law. They came and grabbed Stephen and brought him to a meeting of the leaders. 13 They brought in some people to tell lies about Stephen, saying, “This man is always speaking against this holy place and the law of Moses. 14 We heard him say that Jesus from Nazareth will destroy this place and that Jesus will change the customs Moses gave us.” 15 All the people in the meeting were watching Stephen closely and saw that his face looked like the face of an angel.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I pray that you would encourage my readers who are presently going through marital strife. Remind them that they will experience future blessing as they endure and work through their present difficulties. When we cut short the permanency intended in a marital relationship we miss so much of the blessing that comes years later after many of the earlier struggles are but a memory. Thank you for the spouse of my youth who remains my constant companion as we grow old together. What a marvelous blessing! We thank You as we come to You in prayer through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
