HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Time-you can't own it, but you can use it-you can't keep it, but you can
spend it-once you've lost it, you can never get it back-
2-Every accomplishment starts with a decision to try-
3-A successful person continues to look for work even after he has a
job-
4-Remember, when you think you have exhausted all possibilities, you
haven't-
5-Say what you mean, mean what you say and do not be mean when you say
it-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Being positive is part of being a hero for if you are a
hero you are smart enough to know all the reasons why you should be
discouraged-
I'VE LEARNED-The heaviest thing to carry is a grudge-
DID YOU KNOW-The grizzly bear is capable of running as fast as the average
horse-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Who was the Mark that wrote the book of Mark and what do we know about
him?
2-In what order were the gospels written?
3-Why were the books of the Bible placed in the order they were?
4-Why did Jesus choose the twelve he did to be his disciples?
5-Did any of the men Jesus called to be a disciple know who Jesus was or
have any first hand experience with him?
BIBLE TRIVIA-According to John's gospel, what priest was the first to
examine the arrested Jesus?
Yesterday's answer-Amaziah Amos 7:17
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Acts 9:26-27
26 When
Saul went to Jerusalem, he tried to join the group of followers, but they were
all afraid of him. They did not believe he was really a follower. 27 But Barnabas
accepted Saul and took him to the apostles. Barnabas explained to them that Saul
had seen the Lord on the road and the Lord had spoken to Saul. Then he told them
how boldly Saul had preached in the name of Jesus in
Damascus.
PRAYER FOR
TODAY
Father, just as an anchor
is standard safety equipment for a boat to remain afloat against powerful tides
of water, Jesus is the anchor for our soul, keeping us steadfast and hopeful
when the strong tides of doubt, disappointment and fear seek to overtake us. So
many drift aimlessly day in and day out uncertain of their present and future
standing while we, as believers, anchor fast to the Rock which cannot move,
because it’s grounded firm and deep in our Savior’s love whose daily provision
protects, encourages, and leads us to the heavenly shore where storms will one
day be all past forevermore. Amen.
