HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-The more we love, the more we have to give.  So it is with God's love, it is inexhaustible-

2-Be yourself but be your best self-

3-"Come" is one of Jesus' favorite words-

4-Christians are primarily servants of God-

5-If you are a Christian you are a child of God-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-You can tell you have eaten too much thanksgiving dinner when you have to let your bathrobe out-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you change lines or traffic lanes, the one you were first in will always move faster than the one you are in now-

 

DID YOU KNOW-Ulysses S. Grant had the boyhood nickname "Use-less"-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-When God stopped Abraham from sacrificing his son, who was more relieved-father or son?

2-How did God's delivering Isaac from the sacrificial altar affect his future life and his faith in the God of his father?

3-Is there any correlation between Abraham/Isaac and God/Jesus?

4-Since God is a trinity, was it the Holy Spirit part of God that enabled God to inhabit a human body?

5-What part of Jesus is spirit?

¹² God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So you should always clothe yourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

 

PRAYER FOR TODAY 

Daily prayer: Father, deep within our soul there is a yearning to know You more, to identify with You in Your power, and even in Your suffering, and also in Your victory over Satan.  What a powerful example You give us as You were tempted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights.  Satan had a plot, but You had a plan to refute every scheme he laid out by responding with Scripture.  Scripture that was spoken and recorded long before the wilderness battle ensued.  Help us to be like-minded, to learn and embrace the Scriptures, so that we will do battle with the enemy not by our might or strength that might actually be weakened in the midst of it, but in the powerful strength that comes through the inspiration of Your Holy Word meant for all time.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
