Wednesday August 13, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Whatever you give in life comes back to you-
2-Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have because Jesus said "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you"-
3-Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, but the realization of how much you already have-
4-Everything starts at the bottom--just take the first step-
5-If you do not have enough of everything you want, just look at someone who has less than everything they need yet they manage to smile with their heart-

STRANGE THOUGHT-When you play your shoehorn you get foot notes-

I'VE LEARNED-If you keep trying, you are not failing-

DID YOU KNOW-George Washington was deathly afraid of being buried alive.  After he died, he wanted to be laid out for three days just to be sure he was dead-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Cain know Abel would die when he assaulted him?
2-How old would Abel have been at the time of his murder?
3-Did Cain and Abel have any families at the time of Abel's murder?
4-Was Cain sincere in making his offering to God?
5-Was the story of Cain murdering Abel the first offering each had made to God or had they done so before?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Where was Jesus when an angel came and strengthened him?
Answer for today    Gethsemane     Luke 22:43

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Psalm 119:11
11 I have taken your words to heart
So I would not sin against you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, when we’re tempted to be halfhearted in our vocational work or find ourselves bored by monotonous repetition help us to find creative means that will make us even more productive and content in our work assignments. May our conduct and attitude reflect values set forth in Scripture. Make us a blessing so that we bring joy to our co-workers, supervisors, and to the workplace in general. During times of personality conflict or when disagreements arise bring to our memory the Scripture that reminds us that our primary motivation for being a good worker is that we are serving You when we are diligent in our work.  Not only in our service do we want to do our best but we also ask You to keep our attitudes in check and our words uplifting in the work place.  Help us to be quick to see another co-worker’s need and respond accordingly. May we be slow to judge and find fault with others. Prompt us to be faithful in prayer for our employers, supervisors, co-workers, and the business in which we serve. In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
