1-Why did Jesus call the pharisees and the teachers of the law "Sons of
hell"?
2-Was Jesus harshest on the pharisees than on sinners?
3-Is it any wonder the pharisees wanted to get rid of Jesus the way he
talked to and about them?
4-What is meant by "The time of the Gentiles"?
5-Jesus said "In the last days the sun will be darkened". How will this
happen?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Mark 1:35-38
35 Early the next morning, while it was still dark, Jesus
woke and left the house. He went to a lonely place, where he prayed.
36 Simon and his friends went to look for Jesus.
37 When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for
you!”
38 Jesus answered, “We should go to other
towns around here so I can preach there too. That is the reason I came.”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, we’re grateful for those
throughout history who chose to be men and women of faith, whose hearts were
fashioned in Your image, for those who served Your purpose in their generation.
We also want to serve Your purpose in our generation. Help us to remain
steadfast and strong as we press on in this race set before us. Thankfully, in
this race, we’re not in competition to be the only prizewinner. Instead we take
hold of the hands of those who run with us and invite those on the sidelines to
join us. We want to cross the finish line together so that we will all receive
the grand prize of life eternal with You. May we never give up!
Amen.
