HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Don't confuse a wish with a goal-
2-Don't gamble for gambling is a poverty habit-
3-It is doing the little things in life that makes the big
difference-
4-Never advertise anyone else's sins anymore than you would advertise your
own (gossip)-
5-Although the world is broken, God is still in control-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Your intelligence doesn't intimidate me. You still put on
your hat one leg at a time-
I'VE LEARNED-Earthly brokenness always leads to heavenly openness-
DID YOU KNOW-The bagpipe was originally made from the whole skin of dead
sheep-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Jesus said "My body is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever
eats my body and drinks my blood remain in me and I in them". Did Jesus have to
use this wording when it sounds so cannibalistic and something evil people might
do?
2-The book of John says "From this time many of his disciples turned back
and no longer followed him". Were these followers or part of the 12
disciples?
3-What do we know about Simon Iscariot, the father of Judas Iscariot?
4-Were most of the Pharisee's regulations just rules taught by men
(traditions)?
5-When Jesus went to Tyre and Sidon did he do so as an act of withdrawal
from the Jews or as a part of his plan for wider evangelism?
BIBLE TRIVIA-How long was rain withheld after Elijah's prayer?
Answer for today Three and a half years 1 Kings 17:1
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Revelations 4:11
11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
To receive glory and honor and power,
Because you made all things.
Everything existed and was made,
Because you wanted it.
To receive glory and honor and power,
Because you made all things.
Everything existed and was made,
Because you wanted it.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, You who created the heavens and the earth; You
who created Jacob, and formed Israel have also chosen to redeem us. You even
call us by Your name as we, Your redeemed, are children of the King. We are
joint heirs with You through no goodness of our own, through no merits that
we’ve earned, nor the lineage from which we were born, but only through the
sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus, who gave His life that we might have forgiveness
of sins and become Your children. We are abundantly grateful for such mercy and
grace. Amen.
