HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Hosea was the prophet of unconditional love-
2-The authors of the gospels were not journalists covering Jesus trying to
get all the details of his daily life-
3-Everything that happened in the new testament took place in the days of
the Roman Empire-
4-What may be considered truth to one person may be considered heresy by
another-
5-Wealth is not what you have, it is what you have been given that enables
you to give to others-
STRANGE THOUGHT-If you practice moderation in
everything, isn't that immoderate?
I'VE LEARNED-To the extent that we have not yet
learned to forgive others it is more difficult to forgive ourselves-
DID YOU KNOW-Bill Gates's first business was
Traff-O-Data, a company that created machines that recorded the number of cars
passing a given point on a road-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was Jesus insulting of the Pharisees?
2-Who were the family members that went to take care of Jesus and had said
"He is out of his mind" after the pharisees accused him of having an evil
spirit?
3-How many people would have heard of Jesus' resurrection the first few
days after it happened?
4-Was Jesus being disrespectful of his mother when he responded to a
question by saying "Who is my mother and who are my brothers"?
5-What did Jesus mean saying "Whoever does the will of my father in heaven
is my brother and sister and mother"?
BIBLE TRIVIA-For whom did Elijah supply meal and
oil through miraculous means?
Answer for today A widow and her son 1 Kings 17:13-16
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 10:33
33 Then a Samaritan[
traveling down the road came to where the hurt man was. When he saw the man, he
took pity on him.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, just as we enjoy the nourishment of food at
mealtime to grow us physically, so we enjoy the nourishment of Your Word that
builds us spiritually. We have tasted and seen that You are good. Fill us to
overflowing through the reading and application of Your Holy Word and through
the daily fellowship of Your Holy Spirit. We gladly accept Jesus’ invitation to
come and dine at His table of forgiveness, compassion, humility, acceptance, and
joy beyond measure. It is a table fit for royalty and peasant alike, for we are
one and the same in the eyes of our Creator, the King of kings and Lord of
lords. Amen.
