Saturday November 29, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Christians need to be willing to share what God has given to us-
2-Whatever you give to God he multiplies back to you-
3-The greatest hold up to the healing of your hang ups is you-
4-You will stop defeating yourself when you stop deceiving yourself-
5-Today is the oldest you have ever been and the youngest you will ever yet be-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I tried to catch some fog.  I mist-

I'VE LEARNED-Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning-

DID YOU KNOW-"Happy birthday" is the most popular song in America-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why is there no recorded reaction in the Bible of the religious leaders of Jesus resurrection and appearance to a large number of people?
2-How many people saw the resurrected Jesus and why was there no reaction from them?
3-Did Jesus mean literally that with faith we could cause a mountain to throw itself into the sea?
4-Why did Jesus not want to tell the religious leaders by whose authority he did his miracles?
5-Were any of Jesus' disciples or apostles called Rabbi?

BIBLE TRIVA-How did Elisha purify the bitter water?
Answer for today     he threw a container of salt into it    2 Kings 2:19-22

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY      Mark 1:32-34
32 That evening, after the sun went down, the people brought to Jesus all who were sick and had demons in them. 33 The whole town gathered at the door. 34 Jesus healed many who had different kinds of sicknesses, and he forced many demons to leave people. But he would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who he was.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Merciful Father, we confess that we can be impatient and judgmental toward those who reject You time and again. We’ve come to realize that we can’t live without You but the unbeliever feels he or she has no need for You.  It seems we’re worlds apart in our outlook.  Use this passage from Jude to speak to our hearts about applying Your mercy to those who are not of the faith. They do not see through eyes of faith, but are blinded to spiritual truth. Jude also reminds us that while we must embrace the sinner in mercy and love, we must never embrace or endorse the sin. The allurement to sin is always before us, so we ask You to keep us safe, as we set up safeguards, while reaching out to those caught in sin’s entrapment. Father, we don’t want to be complacent but want to be spiritually burdened with the critical need of reaching those who doubt the Gospel message of salvation.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND!
