HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Lack of discipline puts parents love in question because it shows a lack
of concern for the character development of their children-
2-The common bond of God's people should be goodwill-
3-A quick temper can be like a fire out of control-
4-Anger divides people, yet in itself is not sin-
5-God has a special concern for the poor. He insists that people who have
material goods should be generous with those who are needy-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Growing up and growing older are not the same-
I'VE LEARNED-God can change the hearts of even the most wicked
people-
DID YOU KNOW-The longest one syllable word in the English language is
screeched-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Has the backslider lost God's gift of salvation or the joy in the
relationship with God through Jesus?
2-Are all Christians born into or adapted into the family of God?
3-What does it mean "I am a child of God"
4-How can we as humans understand the concept of forever?
5-Can anything separate us from the love God has for us?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said-"Behold, you have mocked me, and told me lies; now
tell me, I pray you, with what you might be bound?"

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 6:6-11
6 On
another Sabbath day Jesus went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man
with a crippled right hand was there. 7 The teachers of the law and
the Pharisees were watching closely to see if Jesus would heal on the Sabbath
day so they could accuse him. 8 But he knew what they were
thinking, and he said to the man with the crippled hand,
“Stand up here in the middle of everyone.” The man
got up and stood there. 9 Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the
Sabbath day: to do good or to do evil, to save a life or to destroy
it?” 10 Jesus looked around at all of them and said to the
man, “Hold out your hand.” The
man held out his hand, and it was healed.
11 But
the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were very angry and discussed with
each other what they could do to Jesus.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, there is no one or no thing that deserves our complete allegiance, but
You, our Lord, who have the words of eternal life. Though others may refuse to
listen or turn away from the message of salvation we choose to persevere. We
persevere in trial and in victory, in the ups and downs and in the in betweens
of everyday circumstances. We seek to do Your will in all things so that we will
be richly rewarded at the end of this life. In the name of Jesus we persevere.
Amen.
