HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Waste has become a way of life for many who live in a land of plenty, but
waste is poor stewardship-
2-You have not mastered self control if you do not control what you
say-
3-Where there is strife, there is pride-
4-Every choice for good sets into motion other opportunities for good.
Evil choices follow the same pattern but in the opposite direction-
5-"Walk with the wise and become wise"-
STRANGE THOUGHT-What sound does a cough drop make-
I'VE LEARNED-There are evil men and nations who seek to harm God's
people-
DID YOU KNOW-The letter J does not appear anywhere on the periodic tale of
elements-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How does our understanding of grace affect our willingness to confess our
sins?
2-Does confessing sins mean we admit to wrong doing or informing God of our
doing them?
3-What is "saving grace" and "sustaining grace"?
4-How does receiving God's grace motivate you to share it with
others?
5-How is grace and generosity related?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "Ye stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears,
ye do always resist the Holy Spirit"?
Answer Stephen Acts 7:51
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 5:36-39
36 Jesus told them this story: “No one takes cloth off a new coat to cover a hole in an old coat.
Otherwise, he ruins the new coat, and the cloth from the new coat will not be
the same as the old cloth. 37 Also, no one ever pours new wine into old leather bags.
Otherwise, the new wine will break the bags, the wine will spill out, and the
leather bags will be ruined. 38 New wine
must be put into new leather bags. 39 No one after
drinking old wine wants new wine, because he says, ‘The old wine is
better.’”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, we rely on the power of Your Holy Spirit to enable us to give a clear
witness of Biblical truth and the Gospel message. We recognize that we must do
this not only by what we say verbally, or display in our apparel, plaques,
screen savers, or other means of witness. We must also present Your Gospel
message by the way we live our lives. May our words complement our actions as we
seek to reach this lost and dying world. In the name of Jesus we pray.
Amen.
