Wednesday june 22, 2016 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Dark times do not mean the end of all hope-
2-Our future is as clear to God as our past is to us-
3-Jesus came to pay a debt he did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay-
4-A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with bricks that others throw at him-
5-If you were someone else, would you want to be friends with you?
STRANGE THOUGHT-A dentist and a manicurist married.  They fought tooth and nail-
I'VE LEARNED-I feared growing old until I realized that I gained wisdom every day-
DID YOU KNOW-In Helsinki, Finland, instead of giving parking tickets, the police usually deflate tires-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Would Mary have made Jesus' seamless robe?
2-Why was Jesus' robe a seamless one?
3-At the crucifixion, why did the Roman soldiers want Jesus' clothes?
4-Crucifixions were common during Jesus time.  Were those being crucified always stripped naked before hanging?
5-Did Jesus' robe have any special meaning to him?
BIBLE TRIVIA-"Now Saul was dead. After David had defeated the Amalekites, he returned to Ziklag and stayed there two days" is the first verse of chapter one of what book of the Bible?
Answer for today     2 Samuel
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Matthew 24:31
31 He will use a loud trumpet to send his angels all around the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from every part of the world.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Jesus, thank you for your Word that points us to you and reminds us of the big picture, of your coming again as Redeemer and King-
LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
