Sunday October 23, 2016 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-There ought to be a better way of starting the day than by just getting up in the morning-
2-Happiness only adds and multiplies when we divide it-
3-An old timer is one who has gold in his teeth, silver in his hair and lead in his pants-
4-It doesn't matter if you win or lose until you lose-
5-You cannot hear with your mouth in gear-

STRANGE THOUGHT-
A rumor without a leg to stand on will manage to get around some other way-

I'VE LEARNED-
Family ties may be stretched to accompany distance but that doesn't break them-

DID YOU KNOW-
Lief Erikson was the first European to set foot in North America in 1000 ce, not Columbus-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How can an intelligent person not be a christian?
2-Is the word submission related to weakness?
3-Should a husband be a servant or a leader?
4-Can Christians be completely consistent?
5-Does the Holy Spirit ever stop dealing with us?

BIBLE TRIVIA-
Romans 15:21 “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard about him will understand.” This new testament verse is a quotation from what old testament book?
Answer for today   Isaiah

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    John 16:23-24
I tell you the truth, my Father will give you anything you ask for in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy will be the fullest possible joy.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, help me to practice prayer and experience joy-

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART-PEACE IN YOUR SOUL-JOY IN YOUR LIFE-ALWAYS-
