Friday June 15, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-You'll never get it all together as long as you pretend you've got it all together-
2-There was no death on the earth until sin entered the world-
3-Be careful from whom you get your advice-
4-Humans have the amazing ability to over estimate how happy we are going to be with a person, event or possession-
5-God can't give us happiness and peace apart from himself for there is no such thing-

STRANGE THOUGHT
During the California gold rush of 1849, miners sent their laundry to Honolulu for washing and pressing.  Due to the extremely high costs in California during these boom years, it was deemed more feasible to send the shirts to Hawaii for servicing.

I'VE LEARNED
The chains of bad habits are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken-

DID YOU KNOW
Seals have back flippers that can't bend under the body to "walk" on land, while sea lions use their leg-like hind flippers to "walk" on land-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why are "things" and "assets" so important to Christians?
2-Do we see holiness demonstrated today?
3-Do you always have to do "more" for God?
4-Why didn't Jesus appear to his mother Mary after the resurrection?
5-Did Jesus' mother Mary understand what his crucifixion was all about?

BIBLE TRIVIA
What book of the Bible describes a lamb with seven horns and seven eyes?
Answer for today         Revelation       5:6

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Hebrews 5:8-9     Even though Jesus was the Son of God, he learned obedience by what he suffered. And because his obedience was perfect, he was able to give eternal salvation to all who obey him.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank you for your great love, and thank you Jesus, for suffering on my behalf so that I could be saved

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY-
