Friday March 8, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The safest place to stand in your storm is next to your heavenly father-
2-Faith is not an award given to the most learned, most disciplined or most religious-
3-Faith is a desperate dive out of a sinking boat of human effort and a prayer that God will be there to catch us-
4-The supreme force in our salvation is God’s grace, not our works, talents, feelings or strength-
5-The most amazing response to God’s gift of salvation is our reluctance to accept it-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Safety experts say school bus passengers should be belted-

I’VE LEARNED
Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie.  Don’t save it for a special occasion.  Today is special-

DID YOU KNOW
An elephant can smell water three miles away-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can anger ever be a good thing?
2-If salvation is not of works, why are Christians always prodded to do more?
3-Is there anything sacred about the order in which the books of the Bible are listed?
4-Who were the Nephilim that Joshua and Caleb saw in Canaan?
5-Whatever happened to the Nephilim giants?

BIBLE TRIVIA?
Who ordered the casting of the Israelite boys into the river?
Answer for today       Pharaoh      Exodus 1:22  Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.”

PRAYER

Father, teach me to live for your glory.  Grow my trust in you that I may walk with you every minute of every day-

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY-
