Saturday March 30, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Patience deeply received results in patience freely offered-
2-Self absorption and ingratitude make for lonely jails-
3-God does more than demand patience from us, he offers it to us as a fruit of the spirit-
4-Patient people have great understanding-
5-Patience always goes hand in hand with understanding-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Cold wave linked to temperatures-

I’VE LEARNED
Yield the right of way-

DID YOU KNOW
Twelve or more cows are known as a flink-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did God speak in an audible voice to the Old Testament patriarchs?
2-Why should God have honored the blessing on Jacob by his father when it was obtained with deceit?
3-Did Rachael give up her stolen idols when Jacob asked his family and servants to give them up?
4-Can we issue an oath or curse on someone today as they did in old testament times?
5-Did Jacob ever have a love relationship with Leah even though they had many children together?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to James, what kind of man is like the waves of the sea?
Answer for today     a doubting man     James 1:6   But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Isaiah 53:3-4 NIV
He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, help me be an accurate and effective advertisement for Jesus, for his goodness and his grace, his love and his truth-

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN.  BE A BLESSING, BE A FRIEND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE, TAKE TIME TO CARE.  LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND-
