THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The New Testament wasn't completed until nearly the end of the first century, so the first century church relied largely on the oral teachings of the apostles-
2-No one living the christian life by the power of he Holy Spirit walks in the way of the world-
3-The life that Jesus lived qualified him for the life he died.  The death that he died qualified us for the life he lived-
4-Through the Spirit of God we can live like the Son of God-
5-Surely there is more to the life of the christian faith than church meetings, bible study, religious jargon and repetitious prayers-
 
STRANGE THOUGHT
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism, to steal from many is research-
 
I'VE LEARNED
Happiness is not the absence of problems, it is the ability to deal with them-
 
DID YOU KNOW
Mice, whales, elephants, giraffes, and humans all have seven neck vertebrae-
 
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did Jesus choose for his first miracle to turn water into wine?
2-Were there many miracles of Jesus not recorded.  If so why not?
3-Could any of the writings not chosen to be a part of Holy Scripture be of meaningful interest and fill in some of the blank spaces we do not have in scripture?
4-Why had the host ran out of wine at the wedding in Cana?

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-We all like miracles.  We just don't like being in a situation that requires one-
2-Prayer is the inheritance we receive and the legacy we leave-
3-You never know how, when or where God will answer your prayers-
4-Humility honors God and God honors humility-
5-All of life is meant to be a prayer just as all of life is mean to be an act of worship-
 
STRANGE THOUGHT
The hardness of the butter is proportional to the softness of the bread-
 
I'VE LEARNED
Happiness is like a cloud, if you stare at it long enough it evaporates-
 
DID YOU KNOW
The giant squid weighs up to two and a half tons and grows up to fifty five feet long-
 
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the baptism of Jesus have the same meaning as it does for us today? 
2-John the Baptist called people to repent of their sins, baptizing those who did.  Was this a heretical concept since there were no animal sacrifices for their sins?
3-When Jesus was baptized, the Spirit of God came on him in a form of a dove.  Was this symbolic or reality.  Had not God's Spirit already been a part of his life?
4-Does the Holy Spirit ever lead us into temptation?
5-Why did the Holy Spirit lead Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted?  Could he not have gone there on his own?

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you stay in your boat, you will never walk on water-
2-If you want to see crazy miracles, obey the crazy promptings of the Holy Spirit-
3-Some of the hardest moments in life are when you have prayed earnestly and yet the answer seems to be no and you don' know why-
4-I have a lot of unanswered questions and many of them come from unanswered prayers
5-By definition, praying hard is praying when it is hard to pray and it is the hard times that teach us to pray hard-

If your happiness depends on what someone else does, you do have a problem-

1-Should our celebrating the "last supper" really be called the "passover feast" as Jesus did?
2-Is the time of day of the passover feast celebration and the time of day of Jesus crucifixion have any correlation or significance?-
3-Did Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist have any friendship or relationship prior to their being 30 years old?
4-We say "John the Baptist", why don't we say "Jesus the Christ"?
5-Prior to the age of 30, did John the Baptist know that Jesus was the messiah?
