Monday August 6, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The original disciples were a group of unlikely misfits but who later turned the world upside down-
2-The Holy Spirit transformed the frightened, reluctant disciples into strong hearted, unintimidated, invincible messengers of God-
3-Giving is a privilege not a punishment and should be done joyfully and generously even while in great need-
4-Giving is an opportunity not an obstacle, a blessing not a burden-
5-A loving gift is an act of grace-

STRANGE THOUGHT
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard-

I'VE LEARNED
Who matters most to you tells what is most important to you-

DID YOU KNOW
The gait of the giraffe is a pace, with both legs on one side moving together-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the disciples spend 24/7 with Jesus all the 3 years of his ministry?
2-Did Jesus ever see or visit his family (mother and siblings) during his ministry years?
3-How did Jesus support himself and his disciples during his ministry?
4-Would Jesus ever have hurt or injured his body during his lifetime by accident or neglect?
5-Did Jesus know his ministry would start at his meeting John the Baptist?

BIBLE TRIVIA
What prophet warned of a destruction in which all birds would be swept from the earth?
Answer for today          Zephaniah        1:3

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
John 8:34-36      Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, everyone who lives in sin is a slave to sin. 35 A slave does not stay with a family forever, but a son belongs to the family forever. 36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be truly free.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, I rejoice in the freedom you have given me through Jesus my Lord.  Give me the vision to embrace my liberty and live as your son, fully pleasing to you, totally accepted by you, forever forgiven, thanks to your son-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU
SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
