THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The New Testament wasn't completed until nearly the end of the first
century, so the first century church relied largely on the oral teachings of the
apostles-
2-No one living the christian life by the power of he Holy Spirit walks in
the way of the world-
3-The life that Jesus lived qualified him for the life he died. The death
that he died qualified us for the life he lived-
4-Through the Spirit of God we can live like the Son of God-
5-Surely there is more to the life of the christian faith than church
meetings, bible study, religious jargon and repetitious prayers-
STRANGE THOUGHT
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism, to steal from many is
research-
I'VE LEARNED
Happiness is not the absence of problems, it is the ability to deal with
them-
DID YOU KNOW
Mice, whales, elephants, giraffes, and humans all have seven neck
vertebrae-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did Jesus choose for his first miracle to turn water into wine?
2-Were there many miracles of Jesus not recorded. If so why not?
3-Could any of the writings not chosen to be a part of Holy Scripture be of
meaningful interest and fill in some of the blank spaces we do not have in
scripture?
4-Why had the host ran out of wine at the wedding in Cana?
5-Isn't it interesting that Jesus made and used a whip to drive the money
changers out of the temple and had a whip used by the Romans on him at his
crucifixion?
BIBLE TRIVIA
What kind of bird did Jesus compare to his love for Jerusalem?
Answer for today a hen gathering her chicks Matthew 23:37
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
2 Peter 3:8-9 But do not
forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord one day is as a thousand years,
and a thousand years is as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow in doing
what he promised—the way some people understand slowness. But God is being
patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to
change their hearts and lives.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank you for loving me. Thank you for sending Jesus to rescue me
and to provide a path of joy on which I can walk each day-
