Wednesday August 1, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you stay in your boat, you will never walk on water-
2-If you want to see crazy miracles, obey the crazy promptings of the Holy Spirit-
3-Some of the hardest moments in life are when you have prayed earnestly and yet the answer seems to be no and you don' know why-
4-I have a lot of unanswered questions and many of them come from unanswered prayers
5-By definition, praying hard is praying when it is hard to pray and it is the hard times that teach us to pray hard-

STRANGE THOUGHT

I'VE LEARNED

DID YOU KNOW
The giant Pacific octopus can fill its entire body through an opening no bigger than the size of is beak-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should our celebrating the "last supper" really be called the "passover feast" as Jesus did?
2-Is the time of day of the passover feast celebration and the time of day of Jesus crucifixion have any correlation or significance?-
3-Did Jesus and his cousin John the Baptist have any friendship or relationship prior to their being 30 years old?
4-We say "John the Baptist", why don't we say "Jesus the Christ"?
5-Prior to the age of 30, did John the Baptist know that Jesus was the messiah?

BIBLE TRIVIA

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Ephesians 4:1-4     I am in prison because I belong to the Lord. Therefore I urge you who have been chosen by God to live up to the life to which God called you. Always be humble, gentle, and patient, accepting each other in love. You are joined together with peace through the Spirit, so make every effort to continue together in this way. There is one body and one Spirit, and God called you to have one hope.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, I ask you to love every person through my life and actions-

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
