Saturday July 17, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God doesn't take sides, he wants to take over-
2 Life is like a band, we don't all play the same instrument but we must play in harmony-
3-What we criticize in others is often a reflection of our own weakness-
4-What love cannot solve it will endure with sweetness-
5-Do I have to give up me to be loved by you?
STRANGE THOUGHT-Snowflakes are weak and fragile, but together they can blanket a landscape-
I'VE LEARNED-Age is an awful price to pay for maturity-
DID YOU KNOW-The wheel on the game show "Wheel of Fortune" is 102 inches in diameter-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Do you keep the Sabbath day holy by not working on it?
2-Why did God rest on the seventh day of creation? Did he need to?
3-How do you honor your mother and father?
4-Is killing the same as murder?
5-Is adultery only with a married person not your spouse?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What elderly cousin of Mary became the mother of John the Baptist?
Yesterday's answer-Abigail
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 1:21-25
21 Outside, the people were still waiting for Zechariah and were surprised that he was staying so long in the temple.
22 When Zechariah came outside, he could not speak to them, and they know he had seen a vision in the Temple. He could only make signs to them and remained unable to speak.
23 When his time of service at the Temple was finished, he went home.
24 Later, Zechariah's wife became pregnant and did not go out of her house for five months. Elizabeth said,
25 "Look what the Lord has done for me! My people were ashamed of me, but now the Lord has taken away that shame.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
