Tuesday July 22, 2014 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Just when the caterpillar thought it's life was over it became a butterfly-
2-The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort, but where they stand in times of challenge and controversy-
3-Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for it to kill your enemy-
4-God may want to use you as a conduit for his compassion to be extended to someone in need-
5-Blessed is the day whose morning is sanctified-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I never knew who I was when I wasn't me-

I'VE LEARNED-The original sin by Adam and Eve introduced suffering, illness and death to the human race-

DID YOU KNOW-It is estimated that millions of trees are planted by forgetful squirrels-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-How many righteous people does it take to save a nation from God's wrath?
2-Are there any exceptions to the 10 commandments?
3-Why was Ezekiel referred to by God as the "son of man"?
4-Why would God tell Ezekiel that he would take the life of his wife and he was not to mourn?
5-How could Ezekiel possibly not mourn the death of his wife and yet continue his ministry?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who was told by an angel that the angel's name was a secret?
Answer for today-Samson's parents   Judges 13:17-18

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Leviticus 19:2
“Tell all the people of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must be holy because I am holy."

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Thankful manFather, Your grace exceeds our greatest sin and reaches our deepest need. When we read the first chapter of Ephesians we are taken back by just how privileged we are to be chosen in Christ before the creation of the world, to be predestined and adopted as Your child through Him. Some of the richest and most tender portions of Scripture that disclose the extent of Your love are revealed to us from deplorable and unjust situations. What a wonderful reminder that Your work is not limited to ideal circumstances but You do an inward work within our heart no matter where we are or what difficulty we face. Because You lavish Your love on us we cannot contain it but must share it with those around us. Help us to do so freely and generously through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
