Thursday April 23, 2009 thought for the day
A PRETTY SPRING SCENE
Here are my thoughts for today
1-"I find in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" was said by a man who was unfairly treated, unjustly jailed and was finally executed-the apostle Paul-
2-The final test of character is seen in the amount of gratitude we have-
3-It is no less a sin not to rejoice than not to repent-
4-A proud man is seldom grateful for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves-
5-God pardons like a mother who kisses the offense into everlasting forgiveness-
Strange thought-It is not the work that is hard, it is the discipline-
I've learned-Activity keeps you busy, productivity gets you results-
5 things I want to know
1-How was it possible to provide all the water necessary in the ark for the trip prior to leaving?
2-How did animals that were natural enemies get along in the ark?
3-How did Noah and family do all the required housekeeping of getting rid of animal wastes?
4-How did the food last so long and not spoil while all were on the ark?
5-What did carnivores eat while on the ark?
Scripture for today Proverbs 28:8-14
8 Some people get rich by overcharging others, but their wealth will be given to those who are kind to the poor.
9 If you refuse to obey what you have been taught, your prayers will not be heard.
10 Those who lead good people to do wrong will be ruined by their own evil, but the innocent will be rewarded with good things.
11 Rich people may think they are wise, but the poor with understanding will prove them wrong.
12 When good people triumph, there is great happiness, but when wicked get control, everybody hides.
13 If you hide your sins, you will not succeed. If you confess and reject them, you will receive mercy.
14 Those who are always respectful will be happy, but those who are stubborn will get into trouble.
I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
