HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Death is the passage way to a new adventure in existence-
2-This world does not exist just for pre grave happiness-
3-High volume doesn't equate with sound faith-
4-False prophets minimize the role of Jesus and maximize the role of
humanity-
5-Courage is fear that has said it's prayers-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why do dogs like to put their head out of the windows of a
moving car?
I'VE LEARNED-The trouble with wanting more is that it never ends-
DID YOU KNOW-The smallest hummingbirds beat their wings the fastest-up to
eighty times per second-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was the elder son afraid that his inheritance from his father would now
have to be split again with the returned brother?
2-The giving of an inheritance to sons usually is done at the death of the
father. So, wasn't the younger son leaving with his share of the inheritance
really saying he was wishing his father was dead?
3-Was the elder brother trying to hurt his father by not attending his
younger's brother's returning home party celebration?
4-Did the elder brother ever come to his senses and apologize for his self
righteous attitude?
5-Did the elder brother ever reconcile with his returned brother?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who is identified with Nathaniel of Cana, mentioned in John
1:45?
Today's answer-Bartholomew
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Acts 17:13-15
13 But the people in Thessalonica learned that Paul was
preaching the word of God in Berea, too. So they came there, upsetting the
people and making trouble. 14 The believers quickly sent
Paul away to the coast, but Silas and Timothy stayed in Berea. 15 The people
leading Paul went with him to Athens. Then they carried a message from Paul back
to Silas and Timothy for them to come to him as soon as they
could.
PRAYER FOR
TODAY
Father, we’re thankful for the rope-holders who
bear our burdens and encourage us in times of weakness and difficulty. You work
through such human vessels to convey Your strength, comfort, protection, and
challenge as we walk together in faith. Help us to be faithful in doing our part
to encourage, pray, and offer support to those You lay on our hearts that we may
be united and strengthened in our Christian journey.
Amen.
