Friday August 14, 2015 thought for the day

THIS IS WHAT GOD'S CHILDREN SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT!!!

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The word "luck" has no place in the language of a Christian-
2-In the final analysis, God is God and he will have his way when he pleases and for his glory-
3-The workings of God in our lives are not related to our clocks but rather to our crises-
4-Often when something looks like the absolute end it is really a new beginning-
5-All walls fall eventually-

STRANGE THOUGHT-I'm reading a book about anti gravity.  I just can't put it down-

I'VE LEARNED-Doing right is better than doing well-

DID YOU KNOW-No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was Cain's banishment to Nod basically a life sentence of hard living?
2-Did Adam and Eve have other children not mentioned in Genesis?
3-Did Adam and Eve have any daughters?
4-Where did Adam and Eve's grandchildren come from?  Did their boys commit incest with a sister in order to have families of their own.  If so, was it not considered wrong?
5-When were weddings first established?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid"?
Answer for today    Adam     Genesis 3:10

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 8:4-8
When a great crowd was gathered, and people were coming to Jesus from every town, he told them this story:
“A farmer went out to plant his seed. While he was planting, some seed fell by the road. People walked on the seed, and the birds ate it up. Some seed fell on rock, and when it began to grow, it died because it had no water. Some seed fell among thorny weeds, but the weeds grew up with it and choked the good plants. And some seed fell on good ground and grew and made a hundred times more.”
As Jesus finished the story, he called out, “Let those with ears use them and listen!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, knowing that Jesus is the Prince of Peace I pray for His peace to fall upon our land. We pray that many will turn to You today and accept that wonderful reconciliation You freely offer. That is the first step to all other types of peace. We pray for relational peace among our countries, families, and churches. We pray for inward, emotional peace, especially for our brothers and sisters affected by these wars. We pray for those suffering loss from yesterday’s brutal attack at two military recruitment centers. We look forward to that time spoken of when the whole world will be at rest and in peace. But until that hour we serve You faithfully today as we seek to be peacemakers for Your glorious kingdom. Amen.

SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
