Wednesday August 26, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Christians need to be willing to leave the familiar ways of doing things without disturbing the essential message-
2-We must be able to say "no" without having to give a lengthy explanation-
3-A rut is nothing more than a grave with the ends gone-
4-Jesus was either who he said he was or he was the greatest imposter who ever lived-
5-If your walk with Jesus is consistent, all hell will be after you , but all heaven comes to your rescue-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Any tool, nut, bolt, or screw, when dropped will roll to the least accessible place possible-
I'VE LEARNED-The kids who need the most love ask for it in the most unloving ways-
DID YOU KNOW-Rio de Janeiro translates to River of January-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Who was the Pharaoh who put the Hebrews to work building cities and fortifications?
2-Was Aaron older or younger than Moses?
3-Why did Moses wife's (Zipporah) father have three different names?
4-Why did God want Moses to go back to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of Egypt when many years before he had fled as a fugitive from them?
5-When Moses and family were on the way to Egypt, why did God want to kill Moses?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "What have I done unto thee, that thou has smitten me these three times?"
Answer for today    Balaam's donkey      Numbers 22:28
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Luke 8:38-39
38 The man whom Jesus had healed begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 Go back home and tell people how much God has done for you.” So the man went all over town telling how much Jesus had done for him.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we thank You for productive family members, co-workers, and leaders in the church community and throughout the land. With so much to be accomplished we thank You for those who don’t just point out the need but they get their hands dirty and contribute to standing up, fixing up, cleaning up, and doing that which will benefit many. Help us to be people who are not asleep like others. Instead we want to be awake, sober and vigilant in carrying out the task You set before us including that of being godly messengers who faithfully teach and live by the whole counsel of Your Holy Word. We seek to honor and glorify Jesus Christ in all that we do so keep us self-controlled, alert, and ready. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!!
