Thursday August 20, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-When resisting temptation you must not be confused by the immediate results-
2-One thing about having the right attitude is that with it every day has some sunshine-
3-A positive attitude gets you beyond hurdles into opportunities-
4-God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience but shouts in our pain-
5-Disillusionment is a dangerous slope, it is first with people and then with God-

STRANGE THOUGHT-He who wants to keep his garden tidy doesn't reserve a plot for the weeds-

I'VE LEARNED-It is okay to be a glow stick.  Sometimes we need to break before we shine-

DID YOU KNOW-There are about 5000 thousand different languages spoken on earth-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The Nephilim people should have been destroyed in the great flood but they were still in Canaan during the time of Moses according to the book of Numbers-
2-The offspring of the angelic/human marriages called Nephilim are called "the heroes that were of old, warriors of renown".  What is this referring to?
3-The Nephilm, which literally translates "the fallen ones" were given super human powers.  What were they?
4-How large a group of people were the Nephilim?
5-Should the story of the Nephilim be taken literally?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "He will take your daughters to be confectioneries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers"?
Answer for today    Samuel     1 Samuel 8:13

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 8:16-18
16 “No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. Instead, the person puts it on a lampstand so those who come in will see the light. 17 Everything that is hidden will become clear, and every secret thing will be made known. 18 So be careful how you listen. Those who have understanding will be given more. But those who do not have understanding, even what they think they have will be taken away from them.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, it is only through the sacrificial blood of Your Son that my sins are forgiven. My guilty stains are plunged into the bottom of the ocean never to resurface again. All the adjectives in one’s vocabulary cannot adequately describe the depth of my gratitude for such a complete and selfless act of love. Your redeeming blood sacrifice frees us from the penalty of sin in this life and for all eternity. We thank You for Jesus who freely shed His blood on our behalf.  Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
