HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Children don't want someone to tell them, they want someone to lead them-

2-You can never become who you want to be until you change who you used to be-

3-We don't seek what we already have-

4-God said if you want to please him, praise him-

5-The real test is not walking with God when he is moving but when it appears he is doing nothing-

STRANGE THOUGHT-You are never as old as you are going to get-

I'VE LEARNED-Do something no one is doing-

DID YOU KNOW-There are more brown M&Ms in plain M&Ms than in peanut M&Ms-

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Luke 17:24-30

²⁴ “When the Son of Man comes again, he will shine like lightning, which flashes across the sky and lights it up from one side to the other. ²⁵ But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by the people of this time. ²⁶ When the Son of Man comes again, it will be as it was when Noah lived. ²⁷ People were eating, drinking, marrying, and giving their children to be married until the day Noah entered the boat. Then the flood came and killed them all. ²⁸ It will be the same as during the time of Lot. People were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building. ²⁹ But the day Lot left Sodom,^[a] fire and sulfur rained down from the sky and killed them all. ³⁰ This is how it will be when the Son of Man comes again.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

  Father, we desire to clothe ourselves in Christ Jesus, whose Spirit resides within our hearts. We pray that our behavior would honor You as we seek to behave decently and live according to the pattern of Holy Scripture, for “we were taught, regarding our former way of life, to put off our old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of our minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like You in true righteousness and holiness.” May lust of the flesh be burned up by the fire of the Spirit that ignites us as we redirect our affections, energies, and time to that which is righteous and eternal. Make us like You, Father, as we follow after You in righteousness and holiness.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.
