HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-It is understanding the cross that should motivate you to follow
Jesus-
2-The Bible is a gift to you from the author-
3-Never ask for advice from a pessimist-
4-To be a leader you first must learn to be a servant-
5-Don't make a bridge where there is nothing to cross-
STRANGE THOUGHT-It is hard to go back to Kansas when you have been to
Oz-
I'VE LEARNED-Everybody makes mistakes, but only fools repeat them-
DID YOU KNOW-The average American eats 135 pounds of sugar per year-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Adam and Eve understand the long term consequences of disobeying
God's command-
2-Adam and Eve were driven out of Eden to another area. Did they know such
a place existed?
3-How large of an area was Eden?
4-How long of a time after Adam was created was Eve created?
5-Was Eden the only paradise on the planet earth?
BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage comes from what old testament
book-"This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders which is become
the head of the corner"? Acts 4:11
Answer for today Psalm 118:22
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 19:24-27
24 “The king
said to the men who were standing by, ‘Take the coin away from this servant and
give it to the servant who earned ten coins.’ 25 They said, ‘But sir, that servant already has ten
coins.’ 26 The king said, ‘Those who have will be
given more, but those who do not have anything will have everything taken away
from them. 27 Now where are my enemies who didn’t want
me to be king? Bring them here and kill them before
me.’”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, we look forward with tremendous anticipation to the day You appear
in the clouds with power and great glory; as You come to claim Your chosen
Bride, the redeemed and purified. The dead in Christ will arise and be caught
up to meet You in the skies as we together exalt and glorify You, the King of
kings and Lord of lords. Help us to be faithful and true and to live in glad and
patient expectancy of Your appearing as signs of Your coming multiply revealing
to the redeemed that the glorious event is drawing closer.
