Thursday December 17, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Often, the more you get of what you want, the less you want of what you get-
2-No one finds a real deep communion with God until he has meet adversity and been forced to a point that he is broken, utterly helpless before God-
3-What we give to God is never lost and what we withhold is never gained-
4-For those who grieve, God gives beauty instead of ashes, gladness instead of mourning and praise instead of despair-
5-It is doubtful if the majority have ever been right-

STRANGE THOUGHT-The easiest way to find a lost item is to buy its replacement-

I'VE LEARNED-Don't let those who take advantage of your generosity stop you from being generous-

DID YOU KNOW-The most popular flavor of ice cream is vanilla-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The Bible says "there is a sin that does not lead to death".  What is it?
2-The Bible says "anyone born of God does not continue to sin".  Does this mean the christian never sins?
3-Who is the "chosen lady and her children" that is referred to in II John?
4-What synagogue did Jesus normally attend?
5-Would Jesus have attended a synagogue every Saturday?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage comes from what old testament book- "They shall look on him whom they pierced"?  John 19:37
Answer for today    Zechariah 12:10

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     LUKE 18:22-25
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one more thing you need to do. Sell everything you have and give it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me.” 23 But when the man heard this, he became very sad, because he was very rich.
24 Jesus looked at him and said, “It is very hard for rich people to enter the kingdom of God. 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we are challenged in Scripture to be filled with the Spirit speaking to ourselves with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.  This heavenly language brings Scripture to our hearts and makes us one with You even in the midst of our busy schedule.  It is from the abundance of being filled with Your spirit that we overflow with heavenly music and psalm, even in the midst of hard and unfair situations in our lives. May praise and thanksgiving be the resounding theme from our hearts on this day and everyday!  In Your name, Jesus, we pray.  Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAY HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE-
